✨First Post✨ My name is Nish, 22yrs old and I’m a aspiring solicitor living in Brighton, East Sussex. I’ve decided to pursue a career in law as I’m keen to have an intellectually engaging career that I’m genuinely interested in and one that I can contribute to help individuals in their matters. I completed my LLB Law (Hons) degree at The University of Greenwich (uniofgreenwich) in June 2020 and I’m currently undertaking the LPC with LLM full time at The University of Law (u_law). Due to the current situation, I decided to study from home at the online campus. Graduating during a global pandemic wasn’t ideal, without a graduation ceremony to symbolise the hard work that went into achieving that degree, at the place you called home for the last four years, it is easy to feel quite unaccomplished. So here is a few things I have accomplished to remind myself everything will be okay as long as I’m trying. Prior to my postgrad, I had been a legal representative during my placement year at Burke Niazi, a law firm in London, specialising in mental health, family and housing law. This was insightful as I would help solicitor draft their client letters. I travelled to a few hospitals to interview clients and prepared their bundles. During my undergrad, I was a netball captain, Vice President of the commercial awareness society and I volunteered at the Greenwich citizen advice centre, whereby I learned triage and worked closely with solicitors. This account has been created to keep track of my journey, which I will include the highs and lows of my path to becoming a solicitor. This field of work is highly competitive, so I hope I can provide valuable advice and inspire others to achieve their goals. Please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or if you have any questions do drop dm. 👩🏽 💻 #legaljourney #LPC #llblaw #law #degree #lpcnotes #tips #classof2020 #trainingcontract #solicitor #studymotivation #ulaw #legallynish
