👋🏻☺️ Hi! My name is Megan, I’m 24 years old and I graduated from ljmu in 2019 with a first class degree in Criminology. Like a lot of people, I wasn’t really 100% sure what I wanted to do after finishing my undergrad and had done previous volunteering with disadvantaged children and as it was something I enjoyed and found rewarding, I’ve since been working full-time in an educational/youth work setting. I have always had a passion for helping others and making a difference to their lives, which is the main reason for being in my current role, however law is something that I’ve always found myself gravitating back to. Envisioning myself as an advocate who helps to ensure people’s rights and voices are seen and heard is something which inspires me. My interest in law first developed whilst studying it at A Level, but, if I’m being honest, I lacked self-confidence and didn’t believe I was smart enough to study it further. This crazy year of 2020 has made me realise that life really is too short to let self-doubt hold you back so here I am today, 3 weeks into my part-time online GDL at u_law and looking for a new job in the legal industry 🤓🌟📚 I wanted to use this page as my kind of virtual journal and as a way to connect with other students and lawyers.
