Hi everyone 😊 I had a lovely trip to York on the weekend and visited the various courts and old prison. The Magistrates Court and the Crown Court are spectacular buildings, with a very exquisite statue of Lady Justice sitting on top of the Crown Court. I went inside the old prison cells at York Castle, which have been the site of incarceration and justice for almost 1,000 years! It gave an interesting insight into how the justice system and human rights have changed over the years.
