Huge congratulations to our inspirational student @chelseakwakye on the publication of her first book, ‘Taking up Space’ under @stormzy ‘s #Merky publishing imprint. Check out our recent interview with Chelsea here: 🙌🤩👏📚 #Repost @stormzy ・・・ This is Chelsea Kwakye (@chelseakwakye) & Ore Ogunbiyi (@oreogunbiyi) and today these two phenomenal women have released their book entitled “Taking Up Space - The Black Girl’s Manifesto for Change” - This is one of the most brave, brilliant, bold, important, well-needed, exceptional books in recent British literature history and I say that with my CHEST! Chelsea and Ore both just graduated from Cambridge University and wrote Taking Up Space as a manifesto for change tackling every intricate issue that sounds race in life before and after university. But it’s not your typical story of the trials and tribulations of being black in all white institution - it BRILLIANTLY discusses and addresses the most intricate parts of being a minority...the details that we so often feel but don’t quite know how to word or articulate and these 2 geniuses have done it incredibly. I am in awe. Thank you for allowing @merkybooks to publish this we are super super proud to be a part of the history that you guys are about to make. If you do one thing today PLEASE buy this book and read it and then read it again and then go back and read it one more time because it’s just that good. TAKING UP SPACE OUT NOW! The link is in my bio ! 🙏🏿❤️ 📚
