The PSC is the professional skills course that you need to complete alongside your training contract to qualify as a solicitor. Within the core modules there is a Business and Finance module, over 3 days, that you need to pass an hour and a half exam (with a pass rate of 60%) at the end. The examinable part of the course covers FSMA and the exemptions that apply to non-FCA authorised solicitors to enable them to act for clients that involve financial regulated activities, as well as the money laundering regs and basics of investment planning. All interesting! Top tips: ๐the days are long so if you can get to the course in person (like I did in Bristol) then it really helps with concentration ๐ try and get a course that allows you to study over the weekend and take the exam on the Monday and take your time going over it on that weekend ๐exam timing is tight so have your tabs ready and flowcharts on hand! #thebristollawyer #ulaw #psc #lawyer #traineesolicitor #studying thebristollawyer (@thebristollawyer) posted on Instagram September 22, 2020 15:03
