Week 6 of the LPC u_law - Consolidation Week: Hi guys! Sorry for being so inactive this whole month. 😬😬 It’s consolidation week for the LPC and so I thought I’d do a bit of an update. The past few weeks have been extremely challenging. I’m sure everyone who is doing the LPC/has done it can agree that it’s extremely intense with the sheer workload, though less intellectually challenging than the LLB. Around two weeks ago I felt like I was on the verge of burning and so I took some time out on a Friday night to have time to myself and watch a movie. I definitely don’t regret that decision! I’m quite happy with the approach I have adapted in terms of planning my day a week in advance and blocking out hours each day for a module e.g. prep task as it actually makes me work towards a deadline otherwise I’d procrastinate all day. Also starting work at 9 am every day makes me treat studying like a 9-6 job. 💼 Last week I chose my electives: IP, Commercial and M&A. I’m really hoping I get these choices because I thoroughly enjoyed Commercial Law and IP during my undergrad. I decided to choose more commercially focused modules as I am working towards becoming a commercial solicitor. 📝 Working part time and volunteering has also really helped me to break up my day and given me a better perspective on life. I’m using this consolidation week to re-watch workshops and fix my notes so that I know how to answer questions and what to look out for. 👩🏻 💻📚 I also wanted to wish good luck to my fellow LPC students with the mocks!
