Hi, I’m Mia 👩🏼 🦰⁣⁣👋🏼⁣ ⁣ I’ve had some new followers recently so I wanted to re-introduce myself and the message behind my platform to those of you who may not know me... 👇🏻⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ 👩🏽 🎓 I completed my law degree at the University of Reading, and then the LPC with the Masters (LLM) at the University of Law.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ In my third year of uni I was offered a training contract at a top 20 UK law firm after successfully completing a vacation scheme at the firm.⁣⁣ ⁣ 🏃🏽 ♀️ Some of my interests include running (I was NEVER a runner but started in Lockdown 1 and now I love it - anything really is possible 😂), baking, drinking wine 🍷, running this platform and going on long walks.⁣⁣ ⁣ 🔮 I started Legally Possible to quite literally show you that anything is possible if you work and dream hard enough. I wanted to help, guide + offer tips to aspiring lawyers and students, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds like myself, by sharing what has worked for me during studies + applications.⁣ ⁣ 🤷🏽 ♀️ Like others, I have struggled with imposter syndrome during my law journey. I often thought I had no place being offered vacation schemes, assessment centres + ultimately my training contract.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ Being the first generation in my family to attend uni, balancing 2-3 jobs alongside studies, coming from a low income household + being entitled to free school meals, I feared that I would never succeed - or at least COULDN’T succeed.⁣ Especially in law.⁣ ⁣ 📉 I graduated college with average A-Levels (BBB) and got a 2:2 in my first + second year of uni, so this fear started to become more of a reality.⁣ ⁣ 📈 But, during third year, I remembered my goal of becoming a lawyer. I managed my finances well, cut down hours at work, worked really hard and achieved high 2:1s and Firsts in my final exams - graduating with a 2:1 overall 👩🏽 🎓⁣⁣ ⁣ 💪🏼 The system still seems to favours those from privileged background - this is true. But I guess I’m here to show you that you CAN succeed, even if you don’t have top grades and haven’t had the best start.⁣ ⁣ 🏅 Against all odds, I secured a training contract at a dream firm. And YOU can do it too. ⭐️⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ Mia x
