I am so pleased I participated in the legalcheek’s Spring Virtual Vacation Scheme! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the fantastic talks that were organised, participating in the networking events, and completing the case study exercises! My favourite event was the very first that took place on the Monday morning: The New Normal ESG presentation, with aogradsuk and traverssmithgraduates. Hearing discussions about what potential investors consider in relation to Environment, Social, and Governance standards and how this has changed post-pandemic was something I had not considered in detail previously. It was interesting to analyse how the economy can capitalise on our new behaviours, such as working from home, to build back ‘greener’. I love how it linked with environmental law, something I have never had the opportunity to study but so wish I could have.
