Now the exams are here I have finally got all my folders sorted! - Being totally real, I am not the perfect student + have not always been this organised, especially for the March exams. Life happens. I was prepared but could have done better, so I have. Remember, you are only in competition with YOURSELF. You should only compare yourself to the old YOU and no one elseโs way of working or revising ๐ช๐ผ - If, however, youโre interested in how Iโm personally preparing my folders, see below for what works for me๐๐ป + swipe across to see my folders โก๏ธ - ๐ I divide my folders into 2. For the LPC we are given lots of information so I put the โimportant bitsโ into a smaller folder such as flowcharts, notes + tables. - ๐จ Colour code. Iโve spoken about this A LOT recently because it really helps me! Each module represents the colour of its folder and therefore I use that colour as much as I can for that topic, e.g. M&A is yellow. I colour code my tabs for each folder: ๐ Purple tabs - tables/flowcharts ๐ Blue tabs - LPC answered/YourLPC notes/extra notes helping me to answer exam questions ๐ Pink tabs - legislation/documents ๐ Yellow tabs (for M&A only) - workshop notes. - ๐ Use page dividers. I got mine frompaperchase , they come with stickers + a contents page. I have added a photo of the contents page that I have written on since filming where I added topics covered in the workshop in case I forget where something is. - ๐ Know your folders inside out. The key is knowing WHERE to look for extra information. But, do not rely solely on your notes to get you through the exam. You also need to have knowledge and a genuine understanding of the topics. The examiner will know this. To test my knowledge I use lucydoeslaw blurting technique with a whiteboard. Go check her blog for more info! - ๐ช๐ผ Be consistent. If I colour co-ordinate I stick to the scheme throughout to prevent confusion. I also make sure all notes are organised in the same way per workshop so I can find things easily. - Good luck for your exams if youโve still got them ๐ weโve got this ๐ช๐ผ legally.louise (@legally.louise) posted on Instagram June 01, 2020 17:26
