Today was my last day working before I take a month off to sit my exams. I absolutely LOVE my job, I preach about how much I love it all the time because I’m beyond grateful for the amount of experience, skills and responsibility I’ve gained so early on in my legal career. But I also know the important of doing well in my exams. My training contract rides on me passing my LPC exams. Some of you might be wondering, why are you being so strict if you’ve got a distinction and no-detriment policy but how do you only pass?!? I can’t just put 50% of the effort into my revision or revise 50% of the topics and hope they come up. It’s not in my nature. I still need to pass all 3 of my elective modules to keep my distinction. I believe in putting my all into everything I do and I can’t keep producing high quality work in my job and produce high quality effective revision tables and notes. Juggling the LPC full time and working full time has become increasingly harder as it gets closer to exam season. The bags under my eyes of a representation of me spending over 15 hours a day staring at my laptop screen. Although I’m sad to be turning off my laptop for a month it’s something I do every year and has produced the high level grades I’ve needed. I am SO lucky I have such a fab employer who continuously supports me in achieving my goals and allowing me the time off needed. So for now it’s head down and one final push before I’m finished law school forever!!🥳 . . . . . . . #ulaw #lpc #lawschool #nodetrimentpolicy #law #womeninlaw #paralegal #inhouse #futuretrainee #trainingcontract laurendoeslaw (@laurendoeslaw) posted on Instagram May 20, 2020 17:53
