One of my students messaged me to ask if I’d received her gift and sent a photo of it. I had to tell her that we’d closed the office on Friday for Christmas, but it appeared to be at the back — so I said I’d drive over and collect it because I didn’t want it left outside until January. And I’m so glad I did 🥹☕️ This gift is from one of my GDL students — someone I supported through her core subjects and her dissertation. She worked incredibly hard and finished with merits and distinctions across almost everything, even achieving 90 in some assessments. I’m so proud of her. She truly didn’t need to send me anything at all, but this was such a thoughtful gift — and she clearly knows me very well with the coffee 😂 These moments quietly remind me why I do what I do. Watching students grow in confidence, push through self-doubt, and achieve results they once thought were out of reach never stops being special. Thank you — truly.
